Sony has revealed two breathtaking PS5 Limited Edition bundles to celebrate the upcoming launch of Ghost of Yōtei, the latest game from Sucker Punch. Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese art and the game’s richly imagined setting, these special consoles and accessories bring the world of Ezo to life in unique ways.
Both bundles were showcased during the recent State of Play event, alongside a deep dive into the game itself. The presentation also highlighted Sucker Punch’s continued dedication to authenticity and artistry, a hallmark of Creative Director Jason Connell’s vision since Ghost of Tsushima. Set in a fictionalized version of Hokkaido (historically known as Ezo), Ghost of Yōtei follows Atsu on a journey of vengeance and redemption. The limited edition PS5 designs reflect these themes beautifully through two very different art forms: kintsugi and sumi-e.
Gold Edition: Beauty in Imperfection
The Gold Limited Edition PS5 bundle is inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, symbolizing strength and beauty through adversity. Gold lines trace across the console and controller, evoking Atsu’s resilience and the cracks in her own past that define her character.
This version will be available globally through select retailers and direct from PlayStation.
Black Edition: Bold Simplicity
The Black Limited Edition bundle takes its cues from sumi-e, the traditional technique of painting with black ink. Brushstroke motifs and a dramatic, minimalist design capture the stark landscapes of Ezo and the inner turmoil Atsu faces in the game.
This bundle will be sold exclusively at direct.playstation.com in most regions.
